Why processing on your device is safer

Photo IDs, medical scans, and personal photos carry real information you may not want to send anywhere — even to a well-meaning service. Every crop, resize, and compression step in image-reducer.com is processed entirely in your browser and never sent to a server, so that data has nowhere to go. As a side effect of how each file is re-encoded, embedded EXIF and GPS metadata is stripped from the copy you download, too.
