About
Who operates image-reducer.com
image-reducer.com is built and operated by ZIX DEV Inc, a Delaware corporation. We design, build, and run a small family of focused, browser-based tools, and image-reducer.com is one of them. The site launched in July 2026 — we're not going to invent a longer history, a founding story, or a team bio for a product that simply hasn't existed that long yet.
One of three tools we operate
image-reducer.com is one of three products ZIX DEV currently builds and operates: pdf-combiner.com (merges PDF files into one), pdfsignpad.com (fills in and signs PDF forms), and image-reducer.com itself (compresses, converts, resizes, and lightly edits images). All three follow the same approach: a free, browser-based tool that does one job completely, with nothing sent to a server to use it, and no account required to start.
What we're actually building toward
The reason to choose image-reducer.com is completeness, not novelty. Most single-purpose tools handle one part of the job — compress, or convert, or resize, or edit. image-reducer.com handles a whole batch of images at once, every common format (JPG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF), an exact file-size target in kilobytes for JPEG — the format most forms and exams require, a crop/rotate/flip editor, a before/after compare view — and all of it in seven languages, including right-to-left Arabic. It's free, with no account, no cap on how much you process, and no ads.
Why processing happens in your browser
Every compression, conversion, crop, rotate, and resize you run on this site happens on your own device, inside your browser — not on a server we operate, which is what makes it safe to use even with sensitive photos or scanned documents. That's a testable property, not just a claim: a strict Content-Security-Policy stops the page from sending image data anywhere else, the app keeps working with no network connection at all once it has loaded, and EXIF and GPS metadata is stripped from every file you download as a side effect of that same processing — the original file already on your device is never touched. None of this is unique to image-reducer.com — other tools also process images locally — but it is real, and you can verify it yourself in your browser's own network tab.
